Bear with It!

So I was resting at home and got hold of the remote and minutes after my usual aimless channel surfing, I decided to watch Man Vs Wild. It reminds me so much of Into The Wild. I am loving nature more and more I guess. A perfect example of someone making money being in his own field, using his skills acquired from experiences that some might not even thought might make someone rich. It's useful furthermore, and practical. Yes, the show is slightly pre-planned and all, but then it is the purpose of the show to educate the audience, no? I like how logical things are when he explains why he's doing this and that and why being on this spot might be safer than being over there. Shit like this fascinates me. Personality and character-wise, I think this dude is awesome. His background and all, I wish I had those. Its great to know that he is a motivational speaker as well. The way he overcome things and stuff, those are motivational... If only Im able to watch the series on a regular basis. Knowledge gained might not be useful in the environment I'm in, but a knowledge is a knowledge. Its not a burden (at all) to have some.

I seriously cant figure out my fascination with black rimmed glasses. Been wearing it since I was 10 and never changed ever since. The fact that its simple (yet loud, in some ways) and practical (I am careless, constantly dropping it, sitting on it... and yeah I sleep with my glasses on during my younger days) might be some reasons I opt for it. Tom Ford's oval shaped frame seems like a modern twist of the early 90's late 80's rounded frames. I like! Might go for that (when the current one is broken). The wayfarer look is getting stale. Well mine is not exactly a wayfarer anyway...

Bowled over by Balenciaga

Go wiki him... I had a nice dose of his background through Vogue (forgot which issue, but with Natalie Portman on the cover) Here's two of the menswear designs by the new house of Balenciaga, anchored by Nicholas Ghesquiere, who made it into the house at the age of 23.

Cool jackets... sharp and sleek. A bit Slimane-esque. Dig the navy vest.

Enjoying my Mexican morning walk while listening to Mark Ronson's "stop me" got me wondering... what a fantastic song to be used for a rhumba routine! I can already imagine a fast rhumba, with a story relating the lyric of the song. Fast footworks and twists, ah, if only... a passionately dramatic dance is always nice to watch.

Daniel Merriweather is an Australian caucasian. I like the combination of his voice wuth Ronson's einsteinic musical mix. A lil bit of electro+disco+orchestra-like sounds. Another remake of old songs (the smiths and supremes a little, if not mistaken) which i truly dig.
